It helps to include your phone model, Android version, the app version, which meeting app (Teams or Meet) and what you were doing. Never send meeting content, recordings or passwords; we don't need them and will never ask.

Common questions

The guard turned my mic off a moment after I unmuted. Is that normal?

Yes, if you did not tap Talk first. The guard reacts after the change, usually within a second, whenever your mic or camera turns on. To speak on purpose, tap Talk in the Meeting Mute notification or in its Quick Settings tile, then unmute in the meeting app. When you mute again, the guard comes back by itself.

My mic went live and the guard did nothing.

The guard works only while the meeting screen is open on your phone. If the meeting was in the background (for example you answered the call from the notification shade or had another app in front), nothing is guarded, and the Meeting Mute notification says "Not guarding while … is in the background". Bring the meeting back to the front.

The app says it can't read the buttons in Teams or Meet.

Teams or Meet has probably updated and changed its screen. The guard tells you rather than failing silently. Update Meeting Mute from Google Play when a fix is available, and tell us on WhatsApp which app and version you have.

The guard is on in Android settings but the app says it is off.

Android turns an accessibility service off when its app is force-stopped. Open Android Settings › Accessibility › Meeting Mute and turn it on again. If it stays off, turn it off and on once more.

This meeting is not guarded. Why?

Free use covers the first 10 guarded meetings each calendar month (Teams and Meet share the same 10; the demo never counts). From the 11th meeting the guard is off for that meeting and the notification says so. Your free meetings come back on the 1st of next month, or a plan covers every meeting. A meeting you skipped in its first two minutes is also not guarded, and does not count; tap Guard this meeting to change your mind.

How much does Pro cost, and how do I cancel?

Pro covers every meeting and comes as a monthly plan, a yearly plan or a lifetime purchase. The price is shown by Google Play, in the app's Unlimited meetings screen. The monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until you cancel. To cancel, go to your subscriptions in Google Play on your Android phone (play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions), select Meeting Mute and tap Cancel subscription (Google Play Help, read 25 October 2026); the app's Pro screen has a "Manage or cancel in Google Play" button that takes you there. Lifetime is a single payment and does not renew. Refunds are handled by Google Play.

I bought a plan but the app says I don't have one.

Open the Unlimited meetings screen and tap Restore purchases. The app checks with Google Play using the Google account on the phone, so make sure it is the account that bought the plan.

Does it work with Zoom? Is there an iPhone version?

No and no. Zoom hides its controls from apps like Meeting Mute, and iPhone apps cannot control other apps' buttons. Meeting Mute is for Microsoft Teams and Google Meet on Android 11 or newer.

Can I see it work without a real meeting?

Yes. On the app's first screen tap "Just looking? Try the demo", or open Try the demo from the home screen. It is a practice meeting inside the app; the real guard presses its buttons and shows how long it took. Your phone's real microphone and camera are not used.

Delete your data

Meeting Mute keeps nothing anywhere except a few settings on your phone (see the Privacy policy, section 4). Uninstall the app, or clear its storage in Android Settings › Apps › Meeting Mute, and they are gone. Plans live in your Google account and are managed in Google Play.
